Understanding the Maximum Total Loss Limit
The maximum total loss represents the total amount a trader is allowed to lose on an account, including both realized losses and unrealized (floating) losses.
At Gold Edge Capital, the maximum allowable total loss is 6% of your initial account balance.
Example
For a $100,000 account, the maximum total loss is 6%, which equals $6,000.
This means your equity — including all open positions — must never fall below $94,000.
This rule applies at all times and is designed to ensure capital preservation, disciplined risk management, and long-term trading sustainability.
